The United States of America has Again announced a new $24.7 million Covid 19 support to Ghana.

As part of the Covid-19 vaccine effort, the United States of America has announced a new $24.7 million donation to Ghana.

Janean Davis, the Acting Mission Director, told the media during the contribution that her government had already provided $9.6 million to Ghana to aid in the mobilization for the Covid-19 vaccine exercise

According to her, the US government has been assisting the Ghanaian government since the outbreak of the pandemic, and it is past time for them to step up their support with the $24.7 fund.

She noted that the funds will be utilized to ensure that more vaccines are delivered on schedule and that vaccines for pregnant and lactating mothers are available.

Dr Charity Sarpong, a representative of the Director of Public Health, said that roughly 4% of people who got the sickness died, and that this is why Ghana needs to enhance its vaccination schedule and protocols, particularly among pregnant women
