The Member of Parliament for Damongo and sector Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abdulai Jinapor has donated a brand new Mitsubishi pick up vehicle to the savannah region education directorate to help enhance supervision in the Region.
The brand new pick up vehicle was handed over to the Regional Education Directorate at this year’s independence anniversary celebration in Damongo on Monday, March 6, 2023.
The donation is in fulfilment of a promise made to the education directorate some months ago by the MP.
The lawmaker explained that, the savannah region remains one of the poorest in terms of educational standards which he said is a big source of worry to him as a stakeholder.
He expressed outmost optimism that the vehicle he modestly donated would help to achieve the desired result on improving education in the region.
He praised the Regional Education Director, Hajia Katumi Nantomah, for her tireless efforts, dedication and service tailored at enhancing quality education in the region.
The Damongo lawmaker also assured that the West Gonja Education Directorate will also be resourced with adequate logistics to uplift the standards of education in the Municipality.
He was joined by the Savannah Regional Minister in handing over another pick up to the Ghana TVET service on behalf of Government and the Ministry of Education.
