The St. Anne's Hospital in Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region recorded 1,111 deliveries in 2022.
The number is 150 fewer than the 1,261 deliveries recorded in the same hospital in 2021.
This was disclosed during a presentation by the health information officer of the hospital, Mr. Appiah David at the 2022 annual performance review meeting of the Ghana Health Service in the West Gonja Municipal.
The meeting took place at the conference hall of the Savannah Regional Coordinating Council in Damongo on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
Mr. David further disclosed that the number of normal deliveries was 819, whereas the number of deliveries that occurred through C/S was 275.
Meanwhile, 17 vacuum deliveries were recorded in 2022 at the hospital, bringing the total number to 1,111 during the year under review.
