The New Patriotic Party in the Savannah Region has assured the King and Overlord of the Gonja State, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunutu Jewu Mbema Soale of a cordial working relationship.
This was made this known to the Overlord when Regional executives of the party paid a courtesy call on him at his residence in Damongo, the capital of the Savannah Region.
The delegation included some constituency executives of the party in Damongo and other leading figures of the party in the region.
The Savannah Regional Secretary of the party, Mr. Mohammed Issah, who introduced the entourage to the Overlord expressed the joy of the party in the region for the peaceful outcome and nature that culminated into his ascension of to the highest traditional status in Gonjaland.
He on behalf of the party in the Region, pledged a cordial working relationship with the Overlord and his subjects for the betterment of the Gonja State.
The Regional Chairman of the party, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana, popularly known as Professor Kalamonia, who led the delegation to the Palace, assured the Overlord of the support of the NPP government and party at all times.
According to him, the support, gesture and generosity of the NPP party before, during, and after the enskinment was just the tip of the iceberg.
He prayed fervently for long life for the Overlord and his subjects.
He also presented an undisclosed amount of cash to the Overlord on behalf of the delegation.
On his part, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Mbema Soale I thanked the leadership of the NPP for the visit.
He described the visit as a privilege and pledged to work with all political parties to ensure that the current sanctity and peace in the Kingdom continue to prevail.
