Bizline Consult, an incubation hub has unveiled the NEIP/World Bank Acceleration Program dubbed "Savannah Accelerate".
The unveiling ceremony took place at the Damongo Community Centre on Saturday, September 2, 2023 in Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
Speaking at the launch, the Managing Director of Bizline Consult, Mrs. Jean-Marie Akiwele Wellrich said the initiative represents a dynamic collaboration between Bizline Incubation Hub, NEIP, the World Bank, under the Economic Transformation Project (GETP).
Mrs. Jean-Marie further added that it showcases their commitment to fostering economic growth and sustainable development in the region.
"Savannah Accelerate is more than just a program; it is a catalyst for change, a vehicle that will drive forward the dreams and aspirations of budding entrepreneurs."
"Through mentorship, training, access to capital, and a nurturing ecosystem, we aim to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit that resides within the heart of this region", she said
According Mrs Wellrich, the launch of the program will unveil the potential of the region which has been waiting for its moment in the spotlight.
"This acceleration program is a testament of our belief in the transformative ability of entrepreneurship to drive economic progress and social advancement."
She admonished beneficiaries of the program in the region to take up the initiative to propel their businesses.
"To the entrepreneurs who will be part of this journey, I encourage you to seize this opportunity with firm determination. Let your ideas flourish, let your innovation be boundless, and let your passion guide you towards a future of prosperity".
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovations Programme, Mr. Kofi Ofusu Nkansah in a speech read on his behalf, expressed its preparedness to provide support to Bizline Incubation Cetre to help entrepreneurs in the region develop and attain International status.
He appealed to the Regional Minister, the MCE for West Gonja and chiefs to take personal interest in the activities of Bizline Incubation Cetre for the benefit of the region.
He also used the opportunity to thank president Akufo Addo for his continuous support for the growth of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, and for his various interventions to ignite and unleash the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of young people in a bid to make a conscious departure from job seeking to job creation and job ownership.
