The Savannah Regional Minister, Saeed Muhazu Jibril on Friday 22, September 2023, donated three sets of jerseys and five footballs to Damongo based Division 2 team, Mole Nationals Football Club to prepare adequately for the 2023/2024 Season.
This donation was in fulfillment of a pledge he made to support the club with such items when he visited the Damongo AstroTurf to watch Mole Nationals' friendly match against Real Tamale United.
It will be recalled that the Savannah Regional Minister, Saeed Muhazu Jibril, together with the West Gonja Municipal Chief Executive, Musah Karim Kusubari went to the Damongo AstroTurf to watch Mole Nationals goalless draw with Real Tamale United on Friday 8th September, 2023.
It is important to note that this is not the first time the Savannah Regional Minister has helped Mole Nationals. The Minister made a cash donation to the team in their quest for a Division 1 slot last season which they they lost out narrowly but managed to qualify for the MTN FA CUP tournament in Ghana this year.
The regional minister has further stated that he will have more engagements with the team going forward in order to make it great and strong in Ghana football.
Mole Nationals Football Club in the Northern Regional Division 2 Men's games for the 2022/2023 season, lost only one game to Northern City, who eventually qualified for first division this season, prior to the game against Tamale Northern City, the team had gone unbeaten in all their matches throughout the season.
